India’s 2026 Smartphone Rush: Realme, Redmi, Oppo, Poco Launch Dates
January 2026 brings new smartphone launches in India. Realme 16 Pro, Redmi Note 15 5G, Oppo Reno 15, Poco M8, and new tablets arrive soon.

India's smartphone sector has ushered in the new year with a lineup full of device launch happenings. The likes of Realme, Redmi, Oppo, and Poco are among the major players that are going to release new smartphones and tablets for those who prioritize gigapixels, mighty batteries, and great hardware. The first fifteen days of January are going to be pretty much filled up with possibilities for buyers.
Realme 16 Pro Series and Realme Pad 3
Realme is going to ring in the new year by introducing its Realme 16 Pro series on January 6. The series comprises of the Realme 16 Pro and the Realme 16 Pro Plus. Each of them is concerned with the photography and has a 200MP main camera, while the Pro Plus version adds another 50MP periscope telephoto lens for zooming. The Pro Plus is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, while the standard Pro is expected to be equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7000 series processor. Both the mobiles come with 7,000mAh batteries and are quick charged at 80W.
The Realme Pad 3 will be the other release from Realme along with the smartphones. The tablet will have a 2.8K display and a monstrous 12,200mAh battery, reiterating its predecessor, the Realme Pad, which was released in the middle of the year 2023.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 5G and Pad 2 Pro 5G
Xiaomi is inviting everyone to the new year’s party where the first big highlight will be the Redmi Note 15 5G, which will come with a 108MP camera able to record 4K videos, 120Hz curved AMOLED display, and a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging all the way up to the door. Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 will be the driving force behind this device, keeping it up to the mark in the mid-range segment.
Xiaomi is also expected to bring the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G alongside this launch. The tablet will boast a QHD+ display, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos support. It is speculated that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and sports a 12,000mAh battery.
Poco M8
The Poco M8 will be commercially available in India starting from January 8. Although the complete specifications are not unveiled, the gadget is anticipated to be a budget-friendly device that provides high performance and power efficiency at the same time. The company Poco is synonymous with cheap but best-performing hardware.
Oppo Reno 15 Series
Oppo will present the Reno 15 collection at the end of this month, and they will be made up of Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro Mini. Also, the privilege pack pre-orders are already accepted. The Reno 15 Pro will be equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, while the Pro Mini boasts a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The standard Reno 15 model will have a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings will be applicable to all three models, respectively.
